Interesting..
One month until school starts! Since there's 1 month left of partying (in the rain), it's time to start up the social feeds again ;) The coming year I'll be finding plenty of inspiration, school wise, to post about. On top of that the same old music and movie reviews will still be coming.
My expectations for the Autumn? I'm hoping for it to be warm and dry, a kick ass start with school and to start my dating life again. 2011 might have not been great so far, but it's sure gonna end with a bang!
Sincerely,
The lazy slacker bum, me (:

Old Dust.
So...
It's been nearly two months since my last post! Got kind of lazy in the meantime ;)
But a lot has happened, something I may hope hehe.
First of all in about 2 days I'm turning 18. An age where one learns responsibility and adventure. How does this affect me? I guess more partying ;)
Second, around April I applied for an art-school, and voilĂ you are know reading some gibberish from a future-art-student (:
It sure was a relief to be accepted. The assessment day itself I had to show my portfolio, one home assignment and do two more assignments at the school. It was a day that I felt relaxed and confident, and as one of the teachers gave me positive feedback I was kind of sure it was going to work out. Even though it still took two weeks for the real confirmation of being accepted, it was a pleasing moment!
After all the great news of being accepted, the weeks after were full of PARTY. And I really mean party hardy. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights of great fun.
So pretty much because of all the partying and all the booze it's kind of a blank space in my memory (: can't really, or don't really, want to recall all the events hehe.
The latest one I can do, if I may do.
20th of May I went to London Calling in Amsterdam at the Paradiso with my brother. Since he lives there it was pretty chill. London Calling is one of the biggest events for Indie bands in Amsterdam. Pretty much all the bands that play at this festival are on the verge of breaking through. Since we both are active on the music website hypem.com we noticed that names from the website were actually going to play at London Calling. So we had to check it out. It started off with a band that had this old classic rock sound, Wolfpeople. After that Braids, whom I know one song from, with their psychedelic harmonic music. We took a break then and after that Miami Horror was playing. I already know them for a while now and it was an awesome site to see them play live. It's funny to hear them play live, because it's just more band-like compared to the album. The next band was a typical brit-pop-indie band, even though they were Irish, that was okay. Before the last 2 songs we rushed to the next hall because Forst the People was going to play there. It was a small hall and was packed really fast. Due to some electronic error they couldn't play for another 10 mins. So everyone was really getting hyped up! Once they started playing it was just great! The electronic en rock combination was just so live and everyone was just jumping and dancing along to the songs. I must say that was the best performance that night. After that we really had to take a break because I was sweating and tired and blabla.
So we waited for the last performance Holy Ghost! that played at 0:15. As everyones mood was sort of tired and just chilled, the band was still live but still funky. It really reminded me of Chromeo's style.
At 2 we left and took the night bus back home and just chilled at my bro's place. What an awesome night in Amsterdam, and it was my first night too!
Well yeah, that was pretty much all the stuff. Or atleast kinda.
STAY TUNED =D

Post 100!
After a latenight of work I decided to post my 100th blogpost.
Furthermore not to bore you, I wanted to relax you with a smooth upbeat tune and an amazing three way (and no not in a sexual manner) story in one music video. Winner of the 2010 SXSW for Best Music Video.
Enjoy!

Space Invader.
Space Invader's street artwork.
When asked what his favorite game was, he responded, “Going in a city with tiles and cement and invading it. This is the most addictive game I have ever played.”

Tron Legacy
So yesterday I saw Tron Legacy with it's several parts in 3D. A month ago I watched the original, and I must say it was fun watching it because the effects of back then was ground breaking. Today all of these things have just advanced rapidly. Tron Legacy is still an enjoyable film, great music and nice effects. Lack of some action scenes and here and there some rather weird holes in the story. But still for someone who has seen the original it's a rebirth of the Tron imagination. Not to forget the role of Olivia Wilde. Outstanding and HOT. Also known from the series House and some other movies. I'm not really a person that likes short hair but wow Olivia Wilde looked pretty hot with that hair cut.
Well I wonder how many years it's going to take untill the next Tron film ;)
